These decorative vessels are not food or water safe due to the nature of their firing. Raku firing involves rapidly increasing the temperature of the piece and removing them from the kiln while they are between 1500-1800 degrees, and placed into a reduction chamber. Every piece reacts differently to the process, creating a unique piece of art every time.
